Speech in Stavanger, March 14, 1935: We Demand a National Government

Protest meeting in Stavanger on March 14, 1935 against handing over government power to the Marxists.

By Gulbrand Lunde.

Each day, our country sinks deeper into the stranglehold of Marxism, and none of the responsible bourgeois party politicians lift a finger to stop this march towards the abyss.

Instead, we experience time and time again that some argue from the bourgeois side that the Norwegian Labor Party poses no significant threat; they advocate allowing the party to gain government power. This irresponsibility obliges us who have taken up the fight against Marxism to inform our people of the true situation with increased strength.

We must maintain as an unwavering position, that AS LONG AS THE NORWEGIAN WORKERS' PARTY MAINTAINS ITS REVOLUTIONARY MARXIST PROGRAM, THEN IT IS AN ILLEGAL PARTY THAT DENIES THE ELEMENTARY BASIS OF OUR SOCIETY.

In addition, the Labor Party's newspapers have also clearly let us understand that the party will be forced to use violence, if the Norwegians do not willingly allow themselves to be "socialized" and the farmers "collectivized" in a Marxist manner.

In addition, the Marxist teaching, which forms the basis of the Labor Party's policy, is based on a materialistic and anti-God view of life. Our native Norwegian Marxists are not in the least friendlier towards the church and Christianity than their kindred spirit in Russia.

Furthermore, the Marxist workers’ party organizes a class martial arts program to create their stormtroopers for the struggle against the existing society. This Workers' Sports Federation is directly affiliated with the Red Sports International in Moscow. This is again led by the Comintern, which is completely subordinate to the Russian Communist Party. The Russian Communist Party is led by the Politburo, whose head is Stalin.

This political sport is therefore in the service of a foreign power. It can be objected that the Norwegian Labor Party has already previously gained government power in a parliamentary manner, and that the situation today is the same as then; but that is not the case. Between the previous Labor government and the conditions today lies the so-called Quislingsak, after which the Storting agreed with a two-thirds majority that ‘The Workers’ Party is a revolutionary party, which as soon as it finds the time for it - will go to a violent revolution and without consideration for the majority of the people will seek to conquer social power for the Labor Party."

After these investigations, nothing has come to light that has deterred the Labor Party's revolutionary, Marxist-communist attitude.

Therefore, we can only label it as treason when irresponsible bourgeois party politicians create a situation that could result in a Marxist government.

RESOLUTION

«300 nationalistic women and men gathered for a meeting in Stavanger on 14 March will firmly protest against the handing over of government power to a revolutionary Marxist party, contrary to Norway's constitution and laws. We demand that party considerations and personal considerations are now set aside, and that in accordance with the constitution a national government is created independent of party politics.»
