Jentehirden

Jentehirden, written Gjentehirden 1941–1945, was a sub-organisation within NS Ungdomsfylking (NSUF), the youth organization of the Norwegian fascist party Nasjonal Samling (NS). Jentehirden, written Gjentehirden 1941–1945, was a sub-organisation within NS Ungdomsfylking (NSUF), the youth organization of the Norwegian fascist party Nasjonal Samling (NS). Gjentehirden was the Hird organization for young women and girls between the ages of 14 and 18 and can be compared to the German BDM (Bund Deutscher Mädel), which was part of the Hitler Youth in National Socialist Germany. Above in rank were Kvinnehirden and Nasjonal Samling's women's organization. Småhirden was for girls between 10 and 14 years of age.
