Odd Fossum: Commissioner Leader of the NS Trade Union Organization (1940-1944)

Odd Jahrmann Fossum (born 15 December 1905, died 23 July 1958) was a Norwegian trade unionist. He was commissioner leader for the part of LO that was controlled by the Nasjonal Samling (NS) during the Second World War. He was deposed in March 1945 due to alcohol problems. He was replaced by Kåre Rein.

Fossum originally came from the left-wing Hedmark milieu within NS, and had resigned from the party in 1936 when this milieu was outmaneuvered by more capital-friendly forces. He did not register again until September 1940. Here he belonged to the worker-friendly and partly declared socialist environment around Birger Meidell and Odd Melsom, and in the court settlement after the war, Fossum was described as someone who had "an honest interest in the welfare of the workers ». In 1949 he was sentenced to 7 years of forced labour.
