Randi Roberg: National Leader of Kvinnehirden (1942-1945)

Roberg joined NS as a 26-year-old in October 1940. She was propaganda leader in Kvinnehirden before she became acting national leader from October 1942. Kvinnehirden emphasized educating young girls to become front sisters, volunteer sanitary nurses on the German side on the Eastern Front. On 1 January 1944, Roberg gave a speech on NRK in which she called on all Norwegian women to stop talking about Quisling and all his ideas.

When she appeared in court in January 1946 in the national betrayal settlement after the war, she claimed that it was the social, not the political, side that interested her in Kvinnehirden. She was sentenced to three years and six months of forced labour. She died in 1995.
